Art Drop Northeast is a monthly scavenger hunt featuring photo clues on social media (@muralcentralmpls on instagram) that lead to the location of art pieces in the community. Pieces are hidden, or “dropped”, by local artists in public places for community members to find, keep and add to their own collections.

How to Participate in Art Drop NE

-
To participate, follow Mural Central, @muralcentralmpls on Instagram. Posts will also be shared on the Northeast Minneapolis Chamber Facebook page and Destination Northeast’s @destination_northeast Instagram account.
-
Art Drop NE will occur on the first Thursday of every month, from June through November 2024. Between 2-3pm on the first Thursday, look for an in-feed emoji post which provides information about the art drop location.
-
At 6pm, watch our feeds for photo clues about the hidden art pieces.
-
Use each photo as a clue to locate the hidden pieces. Clues will occur every 15-20 minutes.
-
The first person to find each art piece gets to add it to their own collection. On average there will be 6-12 pieces for each art drop. The number of pieces will be shared as part of the first clue.
-
Take a photo and message us @muralcentralmpls to let us know you found a piece so we can post it’s been claimed.

Share your discovery on social media!
